Official Rules
No purchase necessary of any kind to enter or win a prize in the sweepstakes.
A purchase will not increase an entrant’s chance of winning.
Sweepstakes Period: The Self Love Giveaway (“Sweepstakes”) begins at 3PM Eastern Standard Time (“EST”) on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, and ends at 11:59 PM EST on February 13, 2023 (“Sweepstakes Period”).
Eligibility: This Sweepstakes is open only to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia (the “eligibility area”), who are 18 years of age or older (or the age of legal majority in their state of residence, whichever is older) as of date of entry and have an email account. Employees of Kevyn Aucoin Beauty Inc. (“Sponsor”), KBH Jewels, Slip Silk Pillowcase LLC (“SLIP”), each of their respective parents, subsidiaries, divisions, affiliates, suppliers, distributors and advertising, promotional and judging agencies (collectively, the “Released Parties”) and their immediate and extended family members (including but not limited to spouses, domestic partners, parents, children, and siblings) and household members of each (whether related or not) are not eligible to participate or win. Void outside of the eligibility area and where otherwise prohibited or restricted by law. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply. Participation constitutes entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to these Official Rules and Sponsor’s decisions, which are final and binding in all matters related to the Sweepstakes. Winning a prize is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth below.
How to Enter: To enter the Sweepstakes, submit your first name, last name and email address on the SLIP Self Love Giveaway landing page accessible at https://www.slip.com/pages/self-love during the Sweepstakes Period (“Entry”). No mail-in entries, DMs, or emails will be accepted. SLIP, KBH Jewels and Kevyn Aucoin Beauty Inc., are not liable for lost, late, inaccurate, invalid, misdirected, undelivered, or incomplete Entries. There is a limit of one (1) Entry per person/email address during the Sweepstakes Period. Multiple entrants are not permitted to share the same email account. Any attempt by any entrant to obtain more than the stated number of Entries by using multiple/different email account, identities, registrations and logins, or any other methods will void that entrant's Entries and that entrant may be disqualified. Use of any automated system to participate is prohibited and will result in disqualification. In the event of a dispute as to any Entry, the authorized account holder of the email account used to enter will be deemed to be the entrant. The “authorized account holder” is the natural person assigned to an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses. Potential winner may be required to show proof of being the authorized account holder associated with the Entry. Entries are subject to verification of eligibility and will be declared invalid if they are incomplete, falsified, altered or tampered with in any way. Use of computer programs and/or other automated devices to enter the Sweepstakes are prohibited. ALL ENTRIES MUST BE RECEIVED BY 11:59 PM EST ON FEBRUARY 13, 2023.
Random Drawing/Winner Notification: One (1) potential winner will be selected on or about February 15, 2023 in a random drawing among all eligible Entries received during the Sweepstakes Period by a representative of the Sponsor, whose decisions are final on all matters relating to this Sweepstakes. The potential winner will be notified via email within twenty-four (24) hours of random drawing. Potential winner will be required to return a Declaration of Compliance, Liability Waiver and, where lawful, a Publicity Release (collectively, the “Declaration”) within five (5) days of receipt. Winner must provide Sponsor with his/her social security number for tax purposes; Sponsor will issue an IRS Form 1099 to winner. Sponsor will not pay for or offset any tax liability associated with the prize. Sponsor is not responsible for fraudulent emails made to entrants not by the Sponsor (or representative on Sponsor’s behalf). Non-compliance with this timeframe, return of prize or prize notification as undeliverable, or declining the prize for any reason, will result in disqualification without further notice and selection of an alternate winner in a random drawing from among all remaining eligible Entries. Prize will be awarded provided it is properly claimed. No transfer, assignment, substitution or cash equivalent for the prize will be permitted, except at the sole discretion of the Sponsor due to prize unavailability for any reason. In such circumstance, an alternate prize of equal value will be awarded and Sponsor’s obligation to the winner will be fulfilled and no other additional compensation will be provided. The odds of winning the prize will depend on the number of Entries received during the Sweepstakes Period.
One (1) Prize: One (1) Sponsor-specified bundle of products from Kevyn Aucoin ($319 total value), one (1) Wonder Woman Ring valued at $300 from KBH Jewels, and one (1) $300 gift card from SLIP (terms and conditions apply to gift card). The total combined approximate retail value (“ARV”) of the prize is $900. All federal, state and local taxes related to the prize are the sole responsibility of the winner. Sponsor shall not be responsible for a lost, stolen or misplaced gift card, or for any unused balance remaining on gift card. Prize is awarded as is with no warranty or guaranty of any kind. Any and all guarantees and warranties on prize are subject to the manufacturers’ terms and conditions, and winner agrees to look solely to such manufacturers for any such warranty or guarantee claim. Prize items are subject to change and some items may ship separately. The ARV of the prize is subject to price fluctuations in the consumer marketplace based on, among other things, any gap in time between the date the ARV is estimated for purposes of these Official Rules, and the date the prize is awarded or redeemed. If the actual purchase price of the prize is less than the ARV stated herein, the winner will NOT be entitled to a check, cash or other form of payment for the price difference. Any depiction of a prize, in Sweepstakes materials or otherwise, is for illustrative purposes only.
General Rules: Acceptance of prize constitutes permission to use winner’s name, likeness, image, photo, and biographical information for promotional purposes without further compensation except where prohibited by law. By entering, entrant accepts and agrees to be bound by these official rules and winner releases the Released Parties and all others associated with the development and execution of the Sweepstakes from any and all liability for damages, losses or injury resulting from participation in the Sweepstakes or acceptance or use of the prize. Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual that tampers or attempts to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Sweepstakes or website; violates the Official Rules; or acts in an unsportsmanlike, obscene or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. Sponsor and its agencies are not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, misdirected or damaged entries due to internet services providers service, weather, technical, hardware or software malfunctions, telephone failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed, incorrect, inaccurate, incomplete, garbled or delayed electronic communications, whether caused by the sender, by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in this Sweepstakes which may limit the ability to participate, or by any human error which may occur in the processing of the entries in this Sweepstakes. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, terminate or modify the Sweepstakes if it is not capable of completion as planned, including as a result of fraud or for infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention or technical failures or corruption of any sort, and award the prize from eligible Entries received prior to cancellation. Any attempt by any person to undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes may be a violation of criminal and civil law, and, should such an attempt be made, Sponsor reserves the right to see damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. Failure by Sponsor to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.
Limitation of Liability: By participating in the Sweepstakes, you agree to release and hold harmless the Released Parties from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in the Sweepstakes or receipt or use of any prize, including, but not limited to: (a) authorized human intervention in the Sweepstakes; (b) technical errors related to computers, servers, providers, or telephone, or network lines; (c) printing errors; (d) lost, late, postage due, misdirected, undeliverable mail; (e) errors in the administration of the Sweepstakes or the processing of entries; (f) injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrant’s participation in the Sweepstakes or receipt or use of any prize. You further agree that in any cause of action, the Released Parties’ liability will be limited to the cost of entering and participating in the Sweepstakes and the Released Parties assume no responsibility or liability for any indirect, special, punitive or consequential damages including, without limitation, loss of opportunity or goodwill.
Use of Information: Any personal information that an entrant provides in connection with the Sweepstakes or otherwise shall be used by Sponsor or the Released Parties to administer the Sweepstakes, contact entrants via any method including for the purpose of sending transactional messaging, and for the other purposes set forth in the Sponsor’s privacy policy located at https://kevynaucoinbeauty.com/pages/privacy-policy. By entering this Sweepstakes, you agree to and accept that privacy policy. If entrant authorizes, by opting in, Sponsor or Released Parties may provide entrant with information relating to products, services and promotions of Sponsor and affiliates of Sponsor and Released Parties and affiliates of Released Parties. By entering the Sweepstakes and selecting “I agree to receive email correspondence from all partners”, each entrant acknowledges and agrees that the Sponsor and Released Parties may use the entrant’s information, including, without limitation, the entrant’s email address or any other contact information provided for general solicitation, transactional messaging, marketing or other business or promotional activities in connection with the Sweepstakes or the services and products provided by the Sponsor or the Released Parties. The entrant may at any time revoke the use of such information by providing written notice to the Sponsor or Released Parties or by responding to a marketing email using the unsubscribe link provided in the email. Please note that any opt-out preference will apply to marketing communications and may not apply to transactional communications including those associated with your Entry.
Force Majeure: In the event an insufficient number of eligible Entries are received to award the prize and/or Sponsor is prevented from awarding the prize or continuing with this Sweepstakes as contemplated herein by any event beyond its control, including but not limited to fire, flood, natural or man-made epidemic of health or other means, earthquake, explosion, labor dispute or strike, act of God or public enemy, satellite or equipment failure, riot or civil disturbance, terrorist threat or activity, war (declared or undeclared) or any federal, state/provincial or local government law, order, regulation, or guideline, public health crisis or pandemic (e.g., Coronavirus), order of any court or jurisdiction, or other cause not reasonably within Sponsor's control (each a "Force Majeure" event or occurrence), then Sponsor shall have the right to modify, suspend, or terminate this Sweepstakes. If the Sweepstakes is terminated before the designated end date, Sponsor will (if possible) select the potential winner in a random drawing from all eligible, non-suspect Entries received as of the date of the event giving rise to the termination. Inclusion in such drawing shall be each entrant's sole and exclusive remedy under such circumstances.
Disputes: Except where prohibited, you agree that any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with, the Sweepstakes or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the appropriate court located in the State of New York. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, your rights and obligations, or the rights and obligations of Sponsor in connection with the Sweepstakes, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of New York, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of the State of New York or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the State of New York.
Name of Winner: For the name of the winner, available for ninety (90) days after February 28, 2023, send an email to legal@slip.com with SELF LOVE GIVEAWAY as the subject line. Winner List will be sent after the prize has been awarded.
